  • Suzanne Ledwith

    Studio Manager and Instructor

Suzanne started her Pilates journey through private training while pregnant with her first son as a way to alleviate her sciatica pain. After her second son she was able to completely rehab her core and decided to become an instructor to help others find a safe and effective workout. Starting her training at a small studio, Suzanne, became more and more passionate about Pilates and applied to Club Pilates to finish her 500 hour comprehensive training. She now holds the certification of PMA-CPT. She loves a challenging class that makes clients focus on that mind body connection.

  • Debbie Alcorn

    Instructor

Debbie has had two passions throughout her life, healthcare and fitness. More than 25 years of her professional life Debbie was in healthcare having worked as a medical technologist and executive, in a variety of healthcare companies. She has helped with the delivery of healthcare to children, adults and seniors with acute and chronic conditions. Because of her knowledge of healthcare Debbie has always understood the importance of fitness in keeping one’s health and well-being. In her youth, Debbie was involved in many sports, always pursuing health and fitness. It was after her retirement, while looking for an exercise routine that would help her recover from foot injuries that Debbie discovered the profound benefits of Pilates. Not only recovery from injury but for overall health benefits. Debbie was so impressed with Pilates she decided to make it her third career by combining her knowledge of healthcare with the fun of teaching Pilates. Debbie found that Pilates is an excellent way to help people cope with chronic conditions by helping build strength, range of motion and flexibility. Debbie is comprehensively trained and certified through Club Pilates and has been certified in Barre.

  • Luiza Barteldes

    Instructor

Luiza was introduced to Pilates while professionally dancing ballet in New York City. She was immediately amazed by how Pilates improved her dancing - higher jumps, more turns and better balance. She was accepted in the certification program at True Pilates New York in 2009, under Romana Kryzanowska and her daughter, Sari Mejia-Santo. After over 600 hours of practice and observation, she became a certified Pilates instructor. Luiza taught Pilates in the New York Tri-State area before moving to Chicago in 2010. She has always been a very active instructor, constantly improving her knowledge with continuing education seminars and private lessons, all the while keeping a full schedule with loyal, long-time clients. In 2017, while 8 months pregnant with her son, she opened her own boutique studio, The Pilates Loft Of Chicago, which she ran successfully until moving to the Triangle area, in the Summer of 2019. Luiza also holds a degree in Dance and Choreography from Universidade Gama Filho in her native Brazil and its bilingual, teaching in Portuguese when requested. She believes Pilates helps everyone become better at what they do - from athletes aiming a better performance to the average person looking to improve posture and gain a healthier lifestyle. Luiza also has a lot of experience in Prenatal Pilates, and has worked extensively with mothers, pre and and post baby, helping they stay fit safety during pregnancy and getting back into shape quickly afterward. Luiza is also an avid runner, mountain biker and overall endurance athlete. She participates in several races during the year, and she can always be found running the greenways- often with her son in the stroller, training for her next half, full marathon or Spartan race. She is also a compulsive baker, always making sweet treats to share with her family. She lives in Cary with her husband, son and cat.

  • Michelle Coyne

    Instructor

Michelle, originally from Hershey, PA, grew up with a love of dancing and performing from the young age of four. This led to a love for cheerleading which continued into college, cheering for Penn State, and even coaching high school squads after graduating. Michelle was first introduced to Pilates in college and loved how challenging each exercise was. After moving to Raleigh with her husband in 2007 she wanted to start taking Pilates classes again. She began taking Pilates and Barre classes for a few years. When she found out she was pregnant, she was happy to learn that she could continue her Pilates practice through her entire pregnancy. After the birth of her son she realized she wanted to become an instructor and share her passion for Pilates with everyone. She wants clients to know that anyone can do Pilates at Club Pilates! When Michelle is not at the studio, she is spending time with her husband Eric, son Maverick and yorkie pup Maui.

  • Dare Peed

    Regional Manager & Instructor

Dare is a Raleigh native and a dedicated enthusiast of Pilates, yoga and nutrition. She took her first yoga class when she was 17 years old and a new fire ignited within her. She practiced yoga, as a student, for many years before deciding to become a teacher and guide others in their yoga practice. Shortly after receiving her yoga certification, she was introduced to Pilates on the reformer. She discovered that Pilates was the perfect compliment to her yoga practice. She immediately began to see and feel the difference that Pilates was making in her whole life. Dare felt driven to expand her knowledge and become certified in Pilates to share the benefits with others. Ever since, Pilates has been her main passion and she has enjoyed fusing the two methods together in all of her classes. Dare has a very playful teaching style that is both challenging and creative. She enjoys finding ways to make Pilates accessible to everyone. She is inspired by her clients and by their successes both in and out of the studio. Dare is a highly qualified instructor holding certifications in Pilates, Barre, Vinyasa Flow yoga, and Nutritional Therapy. She has been teaching in the triangle area since 2010; offering specialized training to runners, triathletes, golfers, hockey players, basketball players, dancers, and many others over the past decade. In addition to her fitness and nutrition background, Dare is a certified birth doula. She has found that this additional training is particularly helpful when with working with prenatal clients. When she isn't sharing her passion for movement and nutrition with others, she's enjoying the great outdoors with her husband, their four children and two dogs.

  • Carole Snyder

    Instructor

Throughout her life, Carole has been involved in one form of fitness or another. Pilates was always something she wanted to do but it was never available to her. When the Club Pilates opened near her she walked right on over and signed up. After the first class, she knew that she would teach it and took the first opportunity to train and has completed the Club Pilates teacher training program. Also a certified yoga teacher, she appreciates how the two practices are very different yet complement each other. But in her pilates practice she has found strength that she never knew she had or even needed. Always one with an educational goal, Carole is now studying and working toward her Pilates Method Alliance certification. Having retired after a 30 year high school teaching career, she moved to Western North Carolina, and only recently relocated to Cary. She is excited to be back in a big city, closer to the ocean, closer to her son who is in Durham, and is excited to spread her love of Pilates.
