• Andrew McCaskill

  DVM

  Dr. McCaskill is a graduate of North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed an internship in emergency medicine after graduation. He enjoys fishing, spending time with family, and working with his saltwater aquarium. Dr. McCaskill has a cat named Fisher and a dog, EllieMae. He is also an active board member for the non-profit orginization Ashley's Angel Fund. "I became a veterinarian to educate owners about their pet's health and to help preserve the human-animal bond people have with their pets." Dr. McCaskill.

• Dan Allen

  DVM

  Dr. Allen has been practicing in Raleigh for over 20 years. He earned his BA degrees from Mars Hill College & North Carolina State University, and was a member of the first graduating class from North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine. His professional interests include internal medicine, general surgery and ophthalmology. He is married with two teenagers and a Yorkie-Poo named "Packie". Veterinary Medicine is a rewarding, ever changing, and challenging profession. I enjoy being an advocate for my patients as well as having a good relationship with our clients. Dr. Allen.

• Sara Salmen

  DVM

  Dr. Sara Salmen graduated from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She moved to North Carolina to be near family and joined VCA Durant Road Animal Hospital the same year. She has been working in veterinary hospitals since she was 13 years old and has grown up always knowing that she wanted to be in the veterinary field. Her professional interests include medical oncology, internal medicine, and dietary therapy. She is passionate about the human-animal bond and helping pets and their families pursue choices that will lead to quality years together. She pursues continuing education on an annual basis to develop new skills and keep up-to-date on emerging information. In her personal time, she enjoys activites with her local church, spending time with family and friends, photography, camping and hiking in the mountains, and reading. She shares her home with two black and white cats named Cobi and Reece.

• Kristen Musgrave

  DVM

  Dr. Musgrave was born in Baltimore and grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry in 1998 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 at the University of Florida. She has two cats, Timber and G.I. Joe, and a puppy mill rescue Shih-tzu named Mimzy. Her interests outside of veterinary medicine include crafts, woodworking, and music. She has a passion for veterinary dentistry and has received additional training in this field. She also has a special interest in feline medicine and enjoys making sure cats receive the best medical care possible in a safe and comforting environment. I love being a veterinarian because every day is different, and I love the joy of meeting new pets and developing relationships through the years with them and their families as well as the challenge of keeping up-to-date with the latest study findings and medical treatments. I love dentistry especially because I can be a pet's voice and relieve their often-silent pain and make them feel like new again. Dr. Musgrave.
