• Richard Ghiloni

  DVM, Medical Director

  Dr. Ghiloni is a graduate of Ohio State University. He has been practicing in Raleigh since 1975 and joined VCA in 1999. Dr. Ghiloni's special interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery as well as ophthalmology. When not working at VCA Triangle Tower, Dr. Ghiloni can be found practicing equine medicine, fishing, hiking, or spending time with his wife, three children, and five grandchildren. "I enjoy being an advocate for the animals and making sure someone has their best interests at heart."

• Azure Holland

  DVM, Associate Veterinarian

  Dr. Azure Holland is a graduate from The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, feline medicine, and dermatology. Dr. Holland joined VCA during the summer of 2009 and has enjoyed making a difference in pets and clients lives. When not working at VCA Dr. Holland enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Holland shares her home with two orange tabby cats, Baby Frog and Mantis. “ I love getting up every day and working with animals. This is what I have always wanted to do. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with pets and their pet parents. It is rewarding for me to help solve difficult medical problems and work with families to understand their various options. We have the most state of the art equipment and I get to practice at a AAHA accredited facility which means our clients get the very best. “

• Ashleigh Caplin

  DVM, Staff Veterinarian

  Dr. Ashleigh Caplin is a graduate of Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts. She has been involved in several community outreach veterinary programs, including a trip to the Dominican Republic where she brought back her very own "coconut retriever". Dr. Caplin's special interests include internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, and preventative care through client education. She is the newest addition to our VCA team and recent transplant to the area from New England. Away from the office, Dr. Caplin enjoys horseback riding, training for extreme obstacle course races, and spending time with her husband and pets. "I grew up on a farm and always wanted to become a veterinarian. I could not ask for a more fulfilling career than one where I can strengthen the human-animal bond while practicing cutting-edge medicine."
