I became a physician because I wanted to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. As a surgeon, I value the opportunity to use advanced technical skills to treat complex diseases, but I believe the most important part of my job is listening to patients, earning their trust, and helping them feel supported throughout their care. My philosophy of care is rooted in compassion, trust, and partnership. I believe every patient deserves to be heard, treated with dignity, and cared for with the highest standard of medical and surgical excellence. By listening carefully, communicating openly, and involving patients and their families in every decision, I strive to provide care that not only achieves the best possible outcomes but also offers comfort and confidence throughout the treatment journey. My clinical interests include lung surgery, minimally invasive thoracic surgery, and the treatment of conditions affecting the esophagus, hiatal hernia, diaphragm, mediastinum, and chest wall. Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, skiing, and exploring the beautiful hiking trails across North Carolina.
