I became interested in pediatric genetics while working as a research assistant at the NIH. My training and interests were further bolstered by earning an MPH and completing a biochemical genetics fellowship. My philosophy is to provide a caring environment with gold-standard practices for the entire family undergoing a diagnostic odyssey or after receiving a diagnosis. I am interested in newborn screening, a public health approach to genetics, and inborn errors of metabolism. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my son, husband, family, and friends, and I enjoy playing volleyball when time allows.
