I chose to become an advanced practice provider to help people optimize their health. My approach to patient care is to prevent or reverse chronic diseases rather than simply manage them; address the root causes of disease rather than just the symptoms; apply the six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine to optimize health; discuss acute and chronic medical conditions, review standard medical care and how lifestyle can enhance the patient's medical care; empower patients to take an active rather than passive role to their health and quality of life; utilize the healing power of natural and affordable modalities; and potentially reduce or eliminate medications under medical supervision. My area of clinical interest includes lifestyle medicine. Outside of work, I like to stay active with exercise, basketball and hiking. I also enjoy reading.
