Description
I chose to be a nurse practitioner in order to care for my patients on a different level than I could provide as a registered nurse. I have always had a passion for health and wellness and as a nurse practitioner, I am able to provide care to patients in the community by educating and empowering them to improve their overall health. I enjoy working collaboratively with my patients to help improve their quality of life and to prevent diseases while also being able to manage and treat acute and chronic current illnesses. I believe that the patient is the most important individual of the health care team. My main approach to patient care revolves around education and ensuring the patient understands their plan of care and treatment plan. In doing so, this requires attentive listening by the provider to be an advocate for the patient’s health. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my husband, exercising and going on walks with our goldendoodle.
