I’ve been a PA since 2003 and a CT surgery provider ever since—so over 23 years now. I’ve been with the Rex team since 2014. I was first exposed to cardiac surgery while completing my master’s degree in exercise physiology at Syracuse University. Many of the patients we saw were cardiac surgery patients. I was sent to observe a cardiac surgery case, where I met the CT surgery PA. After learning more about their unique and rewarding role in the OR and on the unit, I decided to pursue the career. I have been interested in cardiac surgery ever since.
